In recognition of the importance of a solid knowledge base in driving Australia’s solar energy sector forward, the ASI is commissioning enabling research into the technical and economic challenges and opportunities that solar technologies offer the Australian energy markets.

REVIEW OF THE POTENTIAL FOR CSP IN AUSTRALIA

The ASI has commissioned IT Power to undertake a review of CSP potential in Australia following an Expression of Interest process. The review will include a stakeholder engagement process and the final report is expected to be released in early 2012.
